CORGI's mission is to lead standards in safety

CORGI is the body charged by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to maintain a register of competent gas installers in Great Britain, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man. It is a legal requirement for any business carrying out gas related work to be registered with CORGI.

CORGI maintains an up-to-date register of competent and qualified gas installation businesses and ensures that these businesses and their gas operatives are aware of their requirement to register. CORGI also raises the awareness of gas safety with consumers and encourages them to only employ registered gas installers. We are also working to improve gas safety in The Channel Isles through a voluntary gas registration scheme.
